Questions
What homeowners ask before commissioning us
Do you work on listed buildings and homes in conservation areas?
Yes. Our consultancy is led by a RIBA architect and historic-building conservation specialist with experience across listed and conservation-area properties. We design improvements that respect heritage significance and comply with the relevant consents.
Can we use our own builder or installer?
Absolutely. We are independent consultants. We can prepare a clear tender pack for your chosen installers, or help you identify specialists experienced with heritage buildings.
How long does a Home Comfort Plan take?
Most plans take two to four weeks from the home visit, depending on the complexity of the property and the information already available.
What happens after I receive the plan?
You decide which improvements to pursue and when. If you choose to move forward, we can provide detailed design, help find installers, and coordinate the work through to handover and optimisation.
Do you help with grants or funding?
We can advise on the retrofit-related grants and funding schemes available at the time of your project, and help you understand which measures are likely to be eligible.
